Greater Manchester Areas of Research Interest (ARIs) – meet the team behind the pilot, online on Monday, 21 September.
Academics and PS colleagues who support our research are invited to join GMCA, Manchester City Council and the GM Policy Hub on Monday, 21 September for an online session about the Greater Manchester Areas of Research Interest (ARIs).
Developed by GMCA and Manchester City Council with support from the GM Policy Hub and academics at the University, this pilot creates new opportunities for research to inform policy across the city region.
This online session offers the opportunity to hear from GMCA and Manchester City Council about how they would like academics to respond to ARIs, how submissions will inform their work, and what opportunities for future collaboration could come from the pilot. There will also be time for Q&A.
The ARIs pilot focuses on two key priorities – good growth and prevention (wider determinants of health) – and is designed to support long-term strategic goals while opening up new conversations between academia and policymakers.
This session is designed for University academics at all career stages and PS colleagues who work on research communications and impact.
