Writing for The Conversation

Share your research with a wider audience
The Conversation is an independent, not-for-profit news analysis and publisher where academics provide an informed view on topical issues.
Our University is an institutional member of The Conversation and our articles attract significant global readership, with 75% read by international audiences. We have 500 academics signed up to write for The Conversation.
One great feature is that academics work with a journalist on their article and, unlike most media, have final signoff on their article. You also get to see how many people have read your articles. This means it’s a good first step if you’re new to working with the media.
To submit a short pitch for consideration, contact our team or read the advice pages on The Conversation website.
Read some of our colleagues’ most popular articles – and find out how to get involved:
- Elderly men sentenced to life in prison reflect on the reality of 'hope' and growing old behind bars (Marion Vannier)
- Making sense of the widening gender mental health gap: what teenage girls told us (Ola Demkowicz)
- Masked T-cell engagers: cancer immunotherapies for the future? (Sheena Cruickshank, Jonathan Worboys)
- Iran's AI memes are reaching people who don't follow the news – and winning the propaganda war (Adam R. North)
