Making the most of your Pure account

09 Sep 2026

Updated guidance and training for academic colleagues and postgraduate research students to develop and strengthen their researcher profiles.

The Pure Support Team have refreshed the guidance available to academic and postgraduate research student colleagues on how to make the most of your Pure account.

Pure is the main University research information system that hosts all researcher profiles. The University Research Explorer website displays information from Pure. Links to Research Explorer are included in the University website's navigation, making it easier for users to find research profiles and other information live in Pure.

Colleagues are encouraged to ensure their Pure research profiles are public and up-to-date.

The new online guide has brought together a number of different guides and includes a search function to be able to search for answers to any questions you might have about using Pure.

There is also an in-built AI helper to help you find the information you need and a set of new videos (kindly produced by the FBMH and FSE Impact teams) to help walk you through adding activity and press/media and impact records to your Pure account.
