Everyone is invited to our 2025 Making a Difference Awards!

Join us live online from the University’s Whitworth Hall to celebrate how our staff, students, alumni and external partners are making a difference.

On Thursday, 8 May at 6pm we’ll be hosting our annual Making a Difference Awards for social responsibility ceremony live from the Whitworth Hall, where we will be presenting our winners and highly commended with their awards. Why not tune in live on YouTube to find out more about winning and highly commended projects and help us celebrate the positive impact our University community is making on society and the environment.
The 2025 shortlist includes projects ranging from an initiative providing meaningful employment opportunities for members of our local community, to a solar solution transforming campus energy and cutting Scope 1 and 2 emissions.
The event is an opportunity for us all to recognise, celebrate and show appreciation for the social responsibility commitments and achievements of our staff, students, alumni and external partners.
Join our Chancellor, Nazir Afzal OBE, and President and Vice-Chancellor, Professor Duncan Ivison, live online on Thursday, 8 May, from 6pm.
