Managing at Manchester – applications open

16 Sep 2020

We are pleased to announce that applications for 2020/21 cohorts of our successful Managing at Manchester programme are now open until Friday, 25 September

Managing at Manchester

Managing at Manchester is aimed at all colleagues in a people management role and is an Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) approved programme running over a period of six months. The programme builds confidence and skills so managers can enhance their personal impact and work effectively with their people. Management theory, case studies, practical exercises, group discussions, pre and post learning as well as working with other managers are used to learn, share experiences, practise skills and gain feedback in a risk-free environment.

Managing at Manchester for Researchers is also available specifically for research staff via their Faculty Researcher Development Teams.

After successfully piloting virtual delivery for the programme over recent months, the upcoming cohorts will be delivered using a blended approach with a combination of facilitated virtual workshops, self-directed learning and online discussion boards and forums.

For colleagues aspiring into a management role, we recommend completing the ‘Becoming a Manager’ learning path on LinkedIn Learning.
