Additional bank holiday in 2023: King’s Coronation

A bank holiday has been declared to mark the coronation of His Majesty King Charles III
The bank holiday will fall on Monday, 8 May 2023, following the coronation on Saturday, 6 May.
In line with the bank holiday to mark Queen Elizabeth II’s Coronation in 1953, this will be an opportunity for people to come together to celebrate.
Our online annual leave calculator has been updated to reflect this additional bank holiday.
For support staff who are required to work on a bank holiday, please speak to your line manager or your People and OD Partner about pay/time off in lieu arrangements.
