20 Apr 2026
Do you work with a colleague or team whose teaching practice has made a lasting difference to student learning or the wider student experience? Nominations are now open for the University of Manchester Teaching Excellence Awards 2026.
These awards recognise significant and sustained excellence in teaching, learning and student support over recent years. They are open to Academic, Technical, Lab‑based, Library and Professional Services colleagues, and nominations can be made for individuals or teams of up to 15 people.
Submissions should clearly demonstrate the reach, value and impact of the work being recognised, supported by evidence and a corroborating statement from a senior colleague. Full details, including eligibility and assessment criteria, are available on the Institute of Teaching and Learning website.
How to nominate
Nominations must be submitted using the Teaching Excellence Case for Award pro‑forma and uploaded as a Word document (.docx) via the online submission portal.
- Deadline: 7pm (BST), Monday 8 June 2026
Whether you’re celebrating innovative teaching practice, outstanding student support, or sustained commitment to teaching excellence, this is a great opportunity to recognise work that truly makes a difference.
