Summer school opportunities for undergraduates
29 Jan 2026
Summer School Week is a series of virtual events sharing summer school opportunities for undergraduates, taking place from 9 – 13 February 2026.
The Placements and International Programmes team is hosting a Summer School Week to promote the opportunity to study abroad for a month in summer 2026.
The Summer School programme is a valuable opportunity to sample living and studying abroad, gain an international perspective on academia, develop language skills and increase cultural awareness.
We have partnerships with summer schools in South Korea, Denmark, Spain, France, Italy and China, as well as a new programme in India launching this summer*, spanning language learning and a vast array of subject areas.
The Summer School Week will take place from Monday 9 to Friday 13 February and will involve virtual events. This includes guest talks from our partner summer schools, general information sessions, an introduction to funding, and contributions from past summer school students about their experience.
This opportunity is open to any undergraduate student who is not in their final year with a minimum 50% grade average (or 60% for Denmark summer school). There is also bursary funding is available to support students from socio- economically disadvantaged backgrounds, which will typically cover flights, tuition and some living expenses. This is subject to the availability of funding and available to students who meet the eligibility criteria. There is more information on our website My Placement - Summer Schools
