Reporting and Power BI

Reporting on data held in Pure can now be accessed via PowerBI. 

Access Power BI

To apply for access to the Research Apps within PowerBI, please use the IT Support Portal. Within the IT knowledge base search for Research apps in Power BI access.

Once your access has been approved, you can access Research Apps within Power BI using this link

Power BI training

Online training 

This online course covers the basics of using Power BI to access research reports. The course includes: 

  • Installing an app
  • Opening a report
  • Filtering
  • Exporting

This short guide describes the data that is available in the RBE research reports in Power BI.

These include the 'Dashboard in a Day' online course and a series of 'how to' documents provided by Microsoft. 

A Power BI group is available on Yammer. Here you can start discussions and raise questions about Power BI.

Available research reports

The table below outlines the available reports. 

Report Name Report Contents
 Applications Research Applications. Used in the Annual Performance Review (APR). Contains detail and summary worksheets, expressions of interest, framework agreements, outline proposals and a report of applications not yet submitted to funder.
Awards and related awards Research Awards and Amendments. Used in the Annual Performance Review (APR). Contains detail and summary worksheets, subcontracts and reductions, framework awards and awards with no set to submit date.
