Oracle Fusion is here: let’s get started together
Following our 'Get Ready' message last week, we can now share that the first release of Oracle Fusion is now live, bringing together new ways to manage your everyday People activities. From updating your personal information to managing annual leave, recording sickness and other absence, and submitting expense claims, you can now get started in Oracle Fusion.
Moving to a new system takes time, and you don’t need to learn everything straight away. Start with the checks below, use the guidance when you’re completing a task, and ask for help if something isn’t right.
How to access Oracle Fusion
From go-live, you can access Oracle Fusion in several ways:
- Desktop icon for Windows/PC users: Select the Oracle Fusion desktop icon. Please note, the desktop icon is not available on MACs.
- StaffNet: Find Oracle Fusion under Essential Links on StaffNet.
- Go-Live support page: Follow the link to Oracle Fusion from the Go-Live support page on the Future Foundations microsite.
- Direct link: Access Oracle Fusion directly here.
- Tip: Bookmark the direct link in your browser so it’s easy to find next time.
When you first log in to Oracle Fusion, start with 'your Day 1’ checklist here. This includes:
- Personal details - Make sure your ‘Personal Details’ and ‘Contact Information’ are correct.
- Bank details - Check your payroll bank details are correct. If you claim expenses, your bank details for expenses may be different. Please check these are up to date.
- Work pattern – check your working days and hours. Your work pattern must be correct before adding October leave, sickness and carried-over leave.
- Emergency contacts – Review your ‘Family and Emergency contacts’ are correct. Add or update as required.
‘Your Day 1 checklist’ includes ‘how to’ video guidance for completing the key activities. Access the checklist here.
Checking your information now helps us to make sure everything is up to date and that requests reach the right person. If anything doesn’t look right, please let us know as soon as you can by raising a ticket through People Connect.
Not all processes are moving to Oracle Fusion yet. Continue with existing or local arrangements unless you’ve received guidance confirming a change, and follow the guidance relevant to your role.
Support is here when you need it
From go-live, support is available to help you and your teams build confidence. Alongside 'your Day 1' checklist above, you can use the following routes depending on what you need:
- Need help completing a task? Use the ‘how to’ videos on the training resources page and guidance or follow Oracle Guided Learning for step-by-step support within Oracle Fusion.
- Want some extra help? Join a drop-in session for in-person, real-time support or attend an additional online training session, you can find the full schedule here.
- Have a quick question? Ask the Oracle Fusion Guide chatbot, available 24/7 for help with common questions.
- Looking for local support? Find your Change Champion. Change Champions can help point you towards the right guidance and support.
- Something isn’t right with your information, access or a transaction? Raise a ticket through People Connect.
- Noticed something that might affect your pay or another time-critical activity? Contact People Connect promptly and explain the potential impact.
Learn in your own way, at your own pace
Our Oracle Fusion training resources bring together recordings covering key tasks, including navigating Oracle Fusion, managing personal and employment information, recording absence, submitting expenses, using timecards, and completing approvals and delegations.
You don’t need to work through everything at once. Focus on the activities relevant to you and return to the guidance whenever you need a refresher.
Remember to save your historic documents
MyView will only remain available for viewing and downloading historic documents until Friday, 29 January 2027.
Please download any records you wish to keep by this date.

What to expect now the system is live
Launching Oracle Fusion is a big step forward. Thank you to everyone who has helped us get here.
As we get used to the system, some things may not be perfect, tasks may take a bit longer at first, and things may not always work as expected. If something isn’t working, please use the support options outlined above and explain what happened and how it affects your work.
We’ll tackle the most urgent problems first and keep you updated, though some fixes will take time. Allow yourself and others time to learn. Your feedback will be key to help us improve the system and share relevant guidance as we look ahead to the next phase of the project.
