A preview of next steps before we launch
We’re getting ready for the launch of Oracle Fusion, our new People and Finance system, later this year. We’ll be bringing more information soon to help you get ready. We want to give you a preview of what’s happening between now and the launch, and what activity you need to get ready to start doing. On the run up, we will be sending regular communications with more detail, to get ready, get set and get into the new system.
Training
We have a suite of training opportunities available for you to learn how to use Oracle Fusion. What kind of training and how much detail you need will depend on you and your role. Most colleagues will be able to use Oracle Guided Learning which will give you pointers within the system as you use it. If you are a manager or approver, more detailed training will be available. These sessions will take place in October and you can sign up on the Future Foundations microsite. Colleagues working in People and other technical users will be contacted about their own more in-depth training.
Providing you with the skills, support and confidence to adopt new ways of working is an important part of ensuring the benefits of Oracle Fusion are realised across the University.
Key updates
Oracle Fusion will replace MyView. The processes you currently carry out in MyView will move to Oracle Fusion, including:
- sickness and absence recording
- claiming and approving expenses
- viewing payslips.
MyView won’t disappear immediately, but access will soon be limited to viewing and downloading your information. We’ll let you know when this will happen and what actions you need to carry out in MyView, and how to do them. This includes things like how to easily download all your historical payslips.
We’ll be working hard behind the scenes to make sure we can continue to operate People and Finance services during the launch period.
