New training dates for the academic year ahead.
Impact is an integral part of the way we work here at Manchester.
Our research delivers economic, environmental, social, cultural, health and wellbeing benefits locally and globally. We use our research expertise and pioneering spirit to discover, develop and create innovative solutions to the world’s biggest problems and transform lives.
Research impact also supports three of the five leaps in our Manchester 2035 strategy, From Manchester for the world: Research excellence to impact, A powerhouse of innovation and The university to partner with. It also supports our Research Culture and Environment Framework.
In addition to the satisfaction of seeing your work make a difference to people’s lives, learning how to develop and track your research impact can support your career development – improving funding applications, raising the profile of your research or contributing to our REF submission.
To support you with this, the University runs training courses on how to increase the impact of your research.

This year’s dates for our five Research impact training modules are now available to book.
Please feel free to attend as many or few as you want, in any order, but we do recommend you attend ‘Introduction to research impact’ first if you are new to impact.
The training is also open to colleagues in roles that support Research impact, but researchers will be prioritised in the first instance where spaces are limited.
