The way you access your People and Finance services is changing
As part of the University's journey towards the ambitions set out in From Manchester for the world, we're introducing Oracle Fusion. Bringing People and Finance services together in one place, Oracle Fusion makes it easier to access information and complete everyday tasks. It will also support a more connected, consistent and efficient One University experience.
The first release launches in November 2026 and will mark the first stage in our transition from existing systems and processes.
From November, Oracle Fusion will be where you access and manage information and tasks such as:
- Your pay and pay information
- Annual leave
- Expenses
- Reporting an absence and much more
While some colleagues will notice only small changes, others will use new processes or complete familiar tasks in a different way. We're working closely with colleagues across the University to understand local impacts and ensure everyone has the information, training and support they need to feel confident and ready.
Testing the system works for us
There’s already been significant progress behind the scenes. Colleagues from across the University have been rigorously testing Oracle Fusion, using real-life scenarios to ensure it meets the needs of our diverse community. Testing has also included accessibility reviews and walkthroughs with colleagues who are new to the system, helping us identify improvements, understand the user experience and build confidence ahead of launch.

What you need to do
Over the coming weeks, you will receive a 'Get ready' checklist setting out the actions you need to take to prepare for the move to Oracle Fusion.
This initial checklist will include a small number of straightforward actions to complete ahead of MyView being put into read only, ready for the transition. Read only will mean you will not be able to enter any more information or do data changes, as these will now need to be carried out in Oracle Fusion.
These actions will cover:
- Pay documents
- Expense claims
- Working patterns
Completing these activities will help make sure your information is up to date and you can access the documents and expenses claims needed to minimise disruption for you as we move to the new system.
Because Oracle Fusion will be used across the University, everyone has a part to play in getting ready. Completing the actions relevant to you will help make the transition successful together.
Further guidance and timelines will be provided for activities that need to be completed in Oracle Fusion from November onwards.
Training and support
Support will be available to help you feel confident using the new system. Learning will be tailored to different roles and focused on the tasks you complete as part of your day-to-day work.
Training for colleagues is expected to be available between 5 - 29 October, with further information on enrolment and access to resources coming soon.
Providing colleagues with the skills, support and confidence to adopt new ways of working is an important part of ensuring the benefits of Oracle Fusion are realised across the University.

Over the coming weeks and months, our focus is about helping colleagues get ready for go-live.
