Gifts in wills: webinar
11 Jun 2026
Learn how gifts in wills support our University and how you can write your will for free
In a rapidly changing world, our University is addressing urgent challenges in health, education and social progress: Challenge accepted. While we know that we cannot predict the future, together we can define it. After providing for your loved ones, you may wish to leave a gift in your will to support the research, talent and innovation that will shape a better tomorrow for generations to come. Join Legacy Manager – Amy Harris – and My Intent partner – Emma Rylance – to learn why gifts in wills matter and how you can write your will for free.
When: Thursday 18 June, 12pm
Where: Online only
Making a will is one of the most important actions you can take. It ensures that your loved ones are taken care of and reflects the causes you believe in. Choosing to leave a gift in your will is a deeply personal decision and it's normal to have questions.
This free session will:
- Give practical guidance on writing your will for free using MyIntent
- Share the impact of leaving a gift in your will to support The University of Manchester
- Provide an opportunity to ask questions during a live Q&A session
This webinar will be like watching a video online – you will be able to see the speakers but they, and the other attendees, will not be able to see you – so there is no need to turn your camera or microphone on. You will still be able to ask the speakers your questions using the question and answer messaging box.
If you have any questions about this webinar, or would like to have a private conversation about gifts in wills, please contact Legacy Manager, Amy Harris: amy.harris@manchester.ac.uk
