International Leadership Week
23 Mar 2026
Explore leadership, learning, and development across our community
This week is International Leadership Week: a chance to shine a light on the skills, behaviours, and mindsets that help teams at our University thrive, support wellbeing, and create environments where colleagues can do their best work. We’ve pulled together some of the opportunities available to both colleagues who are currently people leaders, and those who don’t formally manage but want to develop their leadership skills.
Get involved (all colleagues)
- Our Manchester Gold mentoring scheme is open for applications from both mentors and mentees, empowering colleague growth and encouraging the sharing of invaluable experiences. Apply soon though: deadline is Thursday 2nd April!
- All colleagues have free access to LinkedIn Learning, which offers a wide range of leadership and management courses at all levels. Courses include: Developing Leadership Foundations, Developing Emotional Resilience, and Preparing for a Role in People Management.
- Coaching skills are valuable for all colleagues and particularly for managers in support of their team. This Coaching Skills course helps you to develop a coaching approach.
- You can also apply to have your own coach from our UoM pool of internal coaches.
