New development opportunities for people leaders

The new People Leader Development Suite is available now, helping you build skills, behaviours and knowledge
Our University’s Talent Development have recently launched a brand-new suite of development opportunities for colleagues who manage others. The People Leader Development Suite is a refreshed set of learning and development opportunities designed to build the skills, behaviours, and knowledge needed to create and lead inclusive, effective and inspiring teams.
'Focus On' Sessions
These are interactive, face-to-face workshops focusing on developing key leadership skills. Currently we offer workshops on the following topics:
- Focus on Conversations
- Focus on Performance
- Focus on Absence
- Focus on Resolving Issues at Work
- Focus on Induction & Probation
- Focus on Recruitment
These are recommended to all colleagues who manage people, and want to develop the skills to positively impact the engagement and performance of colleagues.
People Leader Induction
This induction is designed for new people leaders, both for external new starters, and internal colleagues stepping into a relevant role. This 3-hour face-to-face workshop covers:
- Roles and Responsibilities
- Culture and Values
- People Leader Principles
- Conversations that Matter
- Manager Essentials Overview
- Learning and Development Options
People Leaders who are new to the University will also receive the booking link in their welcome email.
