Call for Paddlers

We’re delighted to share that this year’s North West Confucius Institutes Dragon Boat race will be hosted by Lancaster Confucius Institute on Sunday, 17 May at Liverpool Watersports Centre

If you would like to take part and practice in the run up to the race, the Manchester Confucius Institute are organising training days for our team at Debdale Park (1073 Hyde Rd, Gorton, Manchester M18 7LJ) from 5:30pm to 7:30pm on 23 March, 20 April and 11 May.

Anyone who is interested is welcome to join the practice sessions! No experience is required but you need to be able to swim in light clothing competently for 50 meters.

After each practice session, there will be a free burger and a hot drink for everyone who takes part to replenish your energies and warm you up.

The main aim of the sessions is to practice together as a team, but you can also just join the practice sessions for a bit of fun, exercise and to improve your wellbeing. There is no obligation to take part in the race.
