Leadership and management apprenticeship opportunities

05 Sep 2025

Unlock your leaderships skills with a variety of apprenticeship courses this autumn

University of Manchester Building

The University offers a range of apprenticeship opportunities for new and existing colleagues to support career development, including our established leadership and management programme(s) for aspiring and experienced managers.

The results of our recent Your Voice Matters survey show that only 47% of respondents feel their career aspirations are being met here and only 55% have regular conversations about their personal and professional development.

Throughout September and October, colleagues who are interested in developing management and leadership skills will be able to apply for the following courses:

All programmes are occupationally related, meaning that you will need to be in a role that provides sufficient scope to be able to apply your learning and demonstrate the knowledge, skills and behaviours required.  These apprenticeship programmes provide structured training over a period of 12-15 months and are nationally recognised and CMI accredited.

When do they start?

Programmes commence November June 2025 and will be delivered by one of our preferred training providers - Corndel.  All programmes are fully funded through the Apprenticeship Levy, meaning there is no cost to you.  and form an important part of our evolving apprenticeships offering.

Please note there are limited spaces available.  however, If you are not able to sign up at this stage, there will be more programmes running throughout 20265/26 with the exception of the Level 7 Senior Leadership programme as funding has been discontinued for this programme.
