WATCH: Behind the scenes on Results Day - Confirmation and Clearing in action

On A-level results day, nearly 200 colleagues from across the University came together to support prospective students through Confirmation and Clearing — with around 1 in every 30 staff members involved across the weekend.
Our behind-the-scenes video captures the energy, humour and teamwork that defined the day. From answering calls to offering reassurance, staff went above and beyond — including Director of Student and Academic Services, Craig Best, who brought smiles (and sweets!) with a roaming trolley. President and Vice-Chancellor Prof. Duncan Ivison and Vice-President for Teaching, Learning and Students Jenn Hallam also joined the frontline, showing their support in person.
We were also joined by BBC national news, who spoke with our team about sector-wide trends, student aspirations, and how our courses are meeting demand. The day was a powerful reminder of the care and commitment we show to future students — and the fun we have doing it.
