Getting to know Jenn Hallam, Vice-President for Teaching, Learning and Students

Starting on 1 August, Professor Jenn Hallam took up the role from Professor April McMahon.

Following the announcement of Professor Jenn Hallam as the new Vice-President for Teaching, Learning and Students, we sat down with her to find out a bit more about her and what attracted her to the role.  

We’ll be sitting down with Jenn again early in the Academic year to talk more about her aspirations for the role, so look out for this in the next few months.

Prior to taking up the role of Vice-President for Teaching, Learning and Students, Jenn, who is a Professor of Assessment and Educational Advancement, was the Vice-Dean for Teaching, Learning and Students in the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health. What is the Vice-President of Teaching, Learning and Students responsible for? 

The role, which is part of the University Executive, is responsible for the education portfolio, enabling our students to reach their full potential and providing learners of all ages and backgrounds the chance to contribute to positive social change, improving their lives and those of others.
