Team Rwanda 2023: the project begins

As part of our University’s commitment to providing meaningful volunteering opportunities and promoting social responsibility overseas, in summer 2020 we launched Team Rwanda, our international volunteering project exclusively for our students

This is a partnership project between our University and Azizi Life, a social enterprise based in Rwanda. Azizi Life runs a number of community projects including supporting local artisans to build more sustainable practices and reach wider markets, and supporting adult literacy in the local community. Due to the pandemic, the project ran remotely for the first two years, so summer 2022 was our first in-person project, and now we are back again for summer 2023!

The student volunteers arrived on Monday morning (24 July) to begin their four-week project in Rwanda alongside Rwandan volunteers.
