All staff should have completed this short training course
Data Protection & Cyber Security training was made available in October 2022 for all staff to complete by the end of January 2023.
Given the current situation with the cyber incident, it is especially important for colleagues to understand data protection and cyber security.
While most staff have completed the course, there are still some staff who need to complete it.
Do all members of staff need to do this training?
Yes, the deadline was Friday 27 January 2023, and if you have not already completed the training, you must do so as soon as possible.

Why do I need to do this training?
We are all responsible for protecting personal data that individuals have entrusted to the University and information that’s confidential in nature. Failure to do so can result in significant harm and distress to the individuals whose data we hold, lead to reputational damage to the University and regulatory fines.
There are many simple but important steps outlined in the training that you can take to help keep your information, and University systems, safe and secure.
