Attend a workshop and share your views on what the University should be looking for in our next President and Vice-Chancellor
On 1 March 2023 we announced that we are beginning the search for Professor Dame Nancy Rothwell’s successor when her term as President and Vice-Chancellor concludes in summer 2024. The first step in this process is to listen to a wide range of views from our University community on the role of the President and Vice-Chancellor and what kind of person we should be looking for next.
The Appointment Panel, led by our Board of Governors Chair, Philippa Hird, will be running a series of one-hour workshops where you can give your views and thoughts, and all colleagues, across all grades and categories, are invited to attend. The Appointment Panel will also be consulting with Trade Union representatives, our General Assembly, Senate, Board of Governors and Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
Your feedback will help shape a new job description for a future President and Vice-Chancellor, as our University moves forward into its third century. By the end of this year, the Appointment Panel will aim to recommend a candidate for Board approval.
