New resource available to support managers to continue to implement hybrid working
The Learning and Organisational Development team has developed a new ‘on demand’ course to support managers as hybrid working becomes the norm in Professional Services.
The course has been designed to allow managers to access support as and when it suits them and includes:
- What is Hybrid working?
- Action centred leadership
- Trust and why it’s important
- Delegation and empowerment
- Effective Communications
- Outcome based performance
Dr Julian Skyrme (Director of Social Responsibility) and Adèle MacKinlay (Director of People and Organisational Development), who are senior sponsors for our Hybrid Working programme, said: “Hybrid working is here to stay and it’s really important that we ensure we’re all implementing the principles of the Framework alongside carefully considered and bespoke Working Together Charters.
“Alongside the resources available on StaffNet, we wanted to provide colleagues with some additional resources to develop those vital leadership skills that are so important in bringing our teams together, such as building trust, empowering our colleagues and ensuring we are communicating effectively with one another, whether that be virtually or face to face.
“It’s also about planning our time effectively and being empowered to do this and ensuring we are not in online meetings all day long. We would recommend you read Patrick Hackett’s blog if you haven’t already, and share your thoughts on how hybrid working is going in your area.”
The course comes with a downloadable workbook and should take no more than an hour to complete in total, but colleagues can access the course section by section to fit it in around other commitments.
