Patrick (PJ) Hemmaway joined our University on Monday 4 July, taking over from Angus Hearmon who will be retiring in November.

Angus will continue to support IT Services by acting as Deputy Director of ITS through the transition period and Programme Director of the Research Lifecycle Programme. A big thank you to Angus for his leadership of the Directorate over the last couple of years.

Commenting on joining our University, Patrick said: “I am excited to be here and thankful for the time spent with colleagues in April and May ensuring I am able to start at a sprint. I would like to say a huge thank you to Angus for his contribution over the past 18 months - I can really see the positive impact he has had on the Directorate. Feel free to call me PJ which is short for Patrick Joseph as most of my friends use this.”
