Times Higher Education Awards open for entries

16 Apr 2021

How to submit a nomination

The Times Higher Education Awards are now open for entries and our University is seeking nominations in several categories to showcase our excellent projects, people and teams.

To nominate a submission, please send a short summary or outline (200 words maximum) of the suggested award entry. Don’t write up a full award submission yet as we may not be able to enter every nomination.

We are seeking nominations in the following categories:

  • Most Innovative Teacher of the Year
  • Research Project of the Year: Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences
  • Research Project of the Year: STEM

For ‘Most Innovative Teacher of the Year’, please send your submission to April McMahon and for the other two, to Lauren Tempelman.

Manchester Doctoral College is due to consider the nominations, put forward from each Faculty competition, for ‘Supervisor of the Year’ on 26 May and aim to put one of these people forward for the THE award. Please ensure you submit nominations through the usual Faculty PGR channels and into the University annual competition.

Other categories in the Awards will be filled using internal University structures to select entries.

You can submit on behalf of yourself or others, but please be aware that the person or team you are nominating will need to write up a full entry if selected. Support will be provided for this. Information about each category is included on the Times Higher website. In addition, we’ll be looking for nominations that are aligned to Our future, and our values.

Please ensure you’ve submitted your nomination by 28 April.
