Bookings open for Dementia Friends information sessions

Become a Dementia Friend and make a real difference in your community

During Dementia Awareness week, 17 – 21 May, Michelle Kipling, who volunteers for the Alzheimer's Society as a Dementia Friends Champion, based in Alliance Manchester Business School, will be hosting a series of seven 30-minute Zoom ‘Dementia Friends Information Sessions. The focus of the sessions is on raising awareness of dementia and you’ll find out about some of the small ways you can help those living with dementia, and how you can make a huge difference in your community.

Did you know that every three minutes someone develops dementia? People with dementia can live well and independently for many years and by understanding the daily challenges that people living with dementia can face, you can play your part in supporting them.

The sessions are open to all staff. 

There will be a maximum of 30 people per Zoom session so please look out for the details and book your place.
