Free eye examination available for all students, staff and general public

Under the supervision of fully qualified optometrist staff, final year Optometry students are offering a free eye examination and glasses dispensing service to students, University staff and members of the public (16 years and above), as part of their training and clinical experience at the University.

They also offer a contact lens clinic, which includes free contact lens fittings, trials and check-ups. You will only be charged for the lenses themselves, and these are subsidised and include a discounted rate for staff and students. The University Teaching Clinic stocks a wide range of contact lenses, from all the main contact lens manufacturers - including daily disposable, monthly disposable, coloured, toric, rigid and bifocal contact lenses.

The clinic is located in the Carys Bannister Building, just off Dover Street, free parking is available.
