Get ready for the Christmas switch off

The University is switching off this Christmas, and you can help

Each month the University uses about £780,000 worth of electricity, and you can help us reduce our consumption by switching off non-essential electrical items before the Christmas closure.

This Christmas we aim to get every member of staff to view the Estates energy dashboard. The dashboard covers 70 buildings across campus and provides an overview of how much electricity has been used and compares it to a similar period of use last year. This feedback should act as a reminder to switch off any unused equipment over the Christmas closure.

We have created a QR code to link directly to the dashboard, and simply select the building you want to explore. The QR code will be posted across campus on the Christmas switch off poster, so wherever you are you can access the dashboard.
