Get involved in the 2018 Community Festival

29 May 2018

Community Festival returns on Saturday 16 June 2018

Community Festival 2017

Following the huge success of the first University-wide Community Festival in 2017, staff and students are invited to join in the fun next year on Saturday 16 June.

As part of the University’s commitment to enhancing its relationship with the local community, the first University-wide Community Festival took place in June this year. The event was a great success attracting nearly 2,000 visitors from across Manchester.

The next Community Festival will take place at Manchester Museum, University Place and Bridgeford Street on Saturday 16 June 2018 from 11am until 4pm.

The Festival is a great opportunity for the University to enhance its engagement with the local neighbourhood communities by running a free, fun and interactive event for individuals and families. The Festival also provides opportunities to engage with the community through a variety of University activities e.g. research, learning, sport, cultural institutions and our students. From family-friendly table top activities to guided tours and musical performances, we are looking for expressions of interest for those wishing to get involved.
