Get ready for the first FBMH Social Responsibility Conference: Thriving Through Change

09 Sep 2025

We are excited to announce the first-ever FBMH Social Responsibility Conference which will take place on Wednesday 8 October

FBMH Social Responsibility Conference:

This brand-new event will bring together staff, postgraduate researchers and community partners for a day of sharing ideas, sparking collaboration and discussions around putting social responsibility into action.

  • Keynote Speaker Professor Erinma Bell MBE

The day will begin with an inspiring keynote from Professor Erinma Bell MBE, a nationally recognised peace activist and community leader. She’ll share her insights on building stronger, fairer communities — followed by a live Q&A, giving you the chance to join the conversation.

  • Interactive Workshops

You’ll then have the opportunity to join one of several practical workshops spanning the SR agenda from AI and it’s environmental impact to EDI and wellbeing in the workplace – each offering tools, ideas and strategies to take forward in your work. Maximising community engagement in teaching and research. Whether you’re new to social responsibility or already deeply involved, there’s something here for you.

  • Pecha Kucha Presentations

In the afternoon, enjoy a series of short, punchy Pecha Kucha-style presentations that spotlight exciting projects and experiences from across the Faculty. It’s a fast-paced, engaging way to explore the innovative work happening in and around FBMH.

  • Connect Over Lunch and Networking

For those joining in person, we’ll close the day with lunch and informal networking — a great chance to continue conversations, spark collaborations, and connect with colleagues and partners.

  • Book Your Place

Spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

The event is open to all FBMH staff, postgraduate researchers and community partners.

  • Reserve your place via Eventbrite and join us for a day of learning, sharing, and making connections — and help shape the future of social responsibility at FBMH.
