Organising barbecues on campus

We’d like to make you aware of the guidance for on campus barbecues.

Holding barbecues on campus

For health and safety reasons, and as part of our Keep it on Campus policy, barbecues must only be booked through the Conferences and Venues Team (in collaboration with Hospitality On Campus).

They will organise and facilitate the barbecue events, including:

• Working with you to ensure an appropriate risk assessment is in place and that you have a safe event
• Waste management
• Recommending a suitable space
• Organising the barbecue menu
• Organising the chef team and service
• Ensuring all equipment and cutlery/crockery is in place
• Making necessary arrangements for your event

Our 2025 barbecue menus start from £12.95 per person and must be booked through Beth Spears.

During graduation, the availability of barbecues is very limited due to activities and large crowds on campus. They will be given on a first-come, first-served basis. Barbecues are not available as a graduation alternative.
