The Supporting Students pages are a hive of information containing a wide range of resources and guidance to help you to support students. You may find it useful to bookmark this site so you can access it easily in future.

This site also contains links to the Stepped Care Model which details the different levels of support available at our University and the role we can all play in supporting our students. A student-facing version of this model, the Support Wheel, has also been developed following extensive consultation with students.

If you have significant concerns about a student, are worried about a student in distress or are faced with a crisis/emergency situation, the crisis pathway is the first point of reference to help you talk about risk. Additional guidance can be found on the help in a crisis or emergency page. We'd recommend you take some time to familiarise yourself with the content on these pages for advice on how to respond if you are faced with a difficult situation.

If you are ever in doubt about what to do, no matter how insignificant the concern or the time of day, call Campus Support and Security on 0161 306 9966 (24 hours, 7 days a week) for assistance. This number can be found on the reverse of all staff and student ID cards.
