It’s been another challenging year but we have delivered an improved suite of benefits for you.

This summer saw the launch of the Vivup lifestyle benefits platform. This gives you free access to a huge range of instant discounts to help you save money across hundreds of the UK’s favourite high-street and online retailers.

Our cycle to work scheme was relaunched with Vivup. You can discover savings of up to 37% (*t’s & c’s apply) on bikes, safety accessories and clothing for your commute to and from work!

In November the Vivup Home and Electronics scheme gave you access to thousands of home and technology must haves from both John Lewis & Partners and Currys, Whether you want to upgrade a home appliance, spruce up your space with new DIY tools or start getting organised for the festive season, your Home and Electronics employee benefit makes it more manageable by enabling you to spread the cost of items through monthly salary reductions

A new employee assistance programme was launched this year. Validium are a specialist external provider of staff wellbeing and mental health support services. Support is free and anonymous. They provide our staff with:

  • Telephone Support
  • Counselling – online and face to face
  • Signposting to Specialist Agencies
  • vClub Information & Resources
  • General Health & Wellbeing Support
  • Legal Information
  • Money & Debt Support

Lines are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year – you’ll always be able to speak to someone who can help. Calls are confidential and what you say will never be shared with anyone at the University. If you are struggling do contact Validium to get the support or advice you need.

The Sport Team have provided a range of virtual and on-campus classes throughout the year. The latest sessions for Christmas and New Year are available.

University staff continue to be incredibly generous with donations via the payroll giving scheme. On Giving Tuesday (30, November 2021) we were able to share that in the 12 months till 31 October 2021 you raised an incredible £145,627.55 for local, national and international causes.
