Additional paid leave over Easter

In recognition of the efforts being made by all our staff, we will be giving staff two extra days holiday around the Easter break on Thursday, 1 April and Tuesday, 6 April 2021

These two extra days will be treated as two additional “University closure days” (recognising that this will mean a halt in working from home for almost all staff) so will be in addition to your annual leave entitlement. If you are required to work on these days then you should speak to your line manager about time off in lieu at a later stage. 

The small number of essential support staff who are required to work on these days will receive the same level of pay as they would for working on a public holiday. If you are required to work on this day then you should speak to your line manager about time off in lieu at a later stage.

Staff who work part-time

If you work part-time, you should continue to use the online annual leave calculator to work out your annual leave, which has now been adjusted to account for the additional closure days.
