Wellbeing, discounts on fitness and outdoors and a prize draw to win a Calm at Work Friendinabox gift box.

Save up to 40% on cinema tickets with the Cinema Society. This is a very popular discount and one that is easy to access reduced price tickets for you and your family!

Blackwell’s has a number of events during March and staff can access 50% via the secure code on the UniDiscounts page.

The Bow Street Café in Ashton is offering discounts to staff who live in or are visiting the area. They have a fantastic 5 star rating on Tripadvisor.

Have you recently explored the fitness and outdoors or the hair and beauty UniDiscounts? You can save with Cotswold Outdoor, Snow+Rock, Runners Need and fabulous local salons and spas including the MacDonald Hotel’s Harmony and Serenity Spa, which has offers available Monday to Thursday 4pm to 8pm. Wellbeing

The staff wellbeing website has been updated to show advice from mental health charity Mind on Coronavirus and Wellbeing. The recent staff wellbeing lecture on Wellbeing and Values by Jackie Le Fevre has now been added to the wellbeing videos page for you to watch in your own time. All previous wellbeing lectures can also be found here to watch again.

The Martin Harris Centre has fabulous free concerts.  Follow the link for more details.

The Big White Wall is the University’s anonymous online mental health and wellbeing resource. You can go to the Big White Wall for help with a range of issues – from anxiety, depression, stress, relationship problems and lifestyle challenges.  Big White Wall is monitored 24/7 by clinical professionals.

Giving back

There are a couple of campaigns across campus at the moment that need support. Emmeline’s Pantry foodbank urgently need food donations asap so that they can ensure all their families have 4 weeks food from next week. Further details on this campaign and child poverty in central Manchester is available on StaffNet.

Can you support Wood Street Mission with their Books Forever Appeal – an article was shared on StaffNet recently. Could you buy a new book for a child ages 0-16 years that otherwise may not have reading materials available at home. Donated books are needed by 1 April at the latest.
