Staff Survey 2019 is coming!

11 Feb 2019

The Staff Survey returns in 3 weeks

Make sure your thoughts count this March. Complete the Staff Survey 2019, and let the leadership team know how you feel about your working experience.

Putting the last survey results into practice

Your opinions on everything from learning and development to how effectively we communicate allow us to create future plans and make improvements that will benefit everyone across the University.  Since the last survey, we’ve made a number of changes, including launching Managers' Essentials, a practical digital resource for those leading, delivering or experiencing change.

Your anonymity

You’ll notice that the survey includes questions about things like your race and sexual orientation. Don’t worry, all the answers you give are anonymous and handled completely confidentially by our external consultants, Capita. Of course, you don’t have to disclose this information, but by doing so, it can help us to identify any problems or barriers faced by groups of employees at the University.

Opinions mean prizes

We appreciate how busy staff across the University are, so as a thank you for completing the survey, we are giving away a £250 voucher for a weekend getaway. We’ll let you know more information about the draw when the survey opens on Monday, 4 March 2019.

In addition to our employee prizes, we’re happy to be able to donate £1 for each completed survey to the local charity of your choice. If we receive over 7,500 survey responses, we’ll double this amount. Thank you to everyone who took the time last week to vote for three charities, the results will be announced shortly.

Your thoughts count!

Staff Survey 2019 launches on Monday, 4 March and runs until Monday, 8 April.

You will receive an email or, if you don’t work at a computer, be given the chance to fill in the Staff Survey form. It only takes around 15 minutes to complete, and you can be sure that all the information you supply will be anonymous and treated in strictest confidence. This is because the Staff Survey 2019 is being administered on the University’s behalf by an external company, Capita.

The survey results will be published in June.
