Book now for Dr Steve Wartman's keynote MAHSC lecture

30 Apr 2014

The Manchester Academic Health Science Centre would like to invite you to a keynote MAHSC lecture by Dr Steve Wartman, President of the Association of Academic Health Centers of the United States, who will present Mission Disruption: The Transformation of Education, Research and Patient Care. The presentation will begin at 5.15pm on Tuesday, 6 May at the Michael Smith Lecture Theatre in the Michael Smith Building.

Steve Wartman

Dr Wartman oversees the top 99 academic health centres (AHCs) in the United States and has international collaborations with an additional 40 AHCs across the globe. This presentation will strike at the heart of the many challenges that Manchester faces as we strive to achieve the translation of our innovative research and education into healthcare in order to deliver major benefits for patients and populations. As a result, we expect Dr Wartman’s lecture to stimulate a rich discussion on our future priorities.

We would like to encourage colleagues across MAHSC partner organisations, to attend this presentation as Manchester develops a biomedical/health hub of global significance.
