An EEG study of the Relationship between Attention and Memory - Participants wanted!
Description
We are looking for volunteers to participate in our study investigating the relationship between attention and memory. This experiment will last approximately 2 hours. You will complete an attention task whilst we record your brain activity using EEG. Following this, you will complete a computerised memory task. All of the materials used in the tests will be non-threatening and non-distressing. The experiment will take place in the Dover Street building, and you will receive course credits or monetary compensation for your time.
To take part, you must fulfil the following criteria:
- Be between the ages 18-25 or 40-65
- Be right-handed
- Be able to take part in the experiment including able to provide informed consent, normal/corrected-to-normal vision and hearing and English fluency.
Because of the nature of the experiment, the following persons will NOT be able to take part:
- People with neurological history including previous head injury or concussion.
- People with a history of stroke.
- People with substantial psychiatric history, including depression (past or present) and anxiety (past or present).
