Get ready for Oracle Fusion

28 Sep 2026

What you need to do now

Colleagues chatting and smiling

Leaders from across the University have been helping us get ready for Oracle Fusion by taking part in testing our new People and Finance system

Oracle Fusion is arriving in November and will become our new system for managing People and Finance information. Before then, there are a few important steps every colleague should take to make sure they're ready for the transition.

The most important thing is to act early. Completing outstanding activity in MyView, booking training and downloading any important documents now will help avoid disruption later and ensure you're ready to use Oracle Fusion from day one.

What do I need to do?

Complete any outstanding MyView activity

Several deadlines are approaching before MyView moves to View and Download only mode on 16th October. Depending on your role, you may need to:

  • Submit outstanding expenses by 7th October
  • Complete Employee Change Request (ECR) activity before 9th October
  • Approve expense claims by 14th October
  • Submit and approve timesheets by 15th October

Leaving activity until the last minute could mean requests are delayed until after go-live.

Save important documents

MyView will remain available to view and download documents until 29th January 2027, but now is a good time to save anything you may need in the future, including payslips, P60s, P11Ds and expense records. Some attachments, such as fit notes, will not transfer to Oracle Fusion.

Book your training

Training opens on 5th October and has been tailored to different groups of colleagues, including employees, casual workers, managers and approvers. Whether you submit expenses, approve leave or simply manage your own information, there is a learning pathway designed for you.

The training will help you feel confident using Oracle Fusion and understand the new processes available when the system launches.

All training is optional, but we encourage you to book as many as you can attend.

If you can't make to any of the dates don't worry - all sessions will be recorded and shared on our microsite. There will also be an e-learning module available, and Guided Learning built into Oracle Fusion when it goes live.

Book your training on the Future Foundations microsite.

Why does this matter?

Oracle Fusion will introduce simpler self-service processes, improved visibility of requests and approvals, enhanced payroll information, digital expense claims and more consistent ways of working across the University.

Getting prepared now means you'll be able to take advantage of these improvements straight away and help ensure a smooth transition for yourself and your team.

Frequently asked questions

  • Will I still be able to access MyView? Yes. From 16th October, MyView will move to View and Download only mode until 29th January 2027. You'll still be able to access historical documents, but you won't be able to make changes or submit transactions.
  • What happens during the transaction freeze? Between 15th October and the November launch, MyView and ECR transactions will pause. Any leave, sickness or other activity should be recorded locally and entered into Oracle Fusion once it becomes available.
  • Where can I get help? Support is available through the Future Foundations team, local Change Champions and the programme microsite. If you're unsure which training course is right for you, the programme team can help. View the team here.

Don't wait

A few simple actions now, particularly booking training, completing outstanding MyView activity and downloading important documents, will help ensure you're ready for a smooth move to Oracle Fusion in November.
