Universally Manchester Festival: Call for colleague ambassadors
21 Apr 2026
Help create an unforgettable day for our local community
The Office for Social Responsibility is excited to host the annual Universally Manchester Festival, on Saturday 13 June 2026, welcoming thousands of visitors from across Greater Manchester and beyond to a vibrant, family-friendly day on campus.
We’re inviting colleagues, postgraduate students, and public contributors to get involved as festival ambassadors.
Festival Ambassadors roles:
We’re looking for volunteers to support festival logistics on the day, which includes:
- Welcoming visitors to the event and sharing the programme of festival activities
- Helping with wayfinding around campus
- Supporting set-up and take-down
Who can take part
All university colleagues and postgraduate students, and our public contributors. No previous experience is required, and a full briefing will be provided.
What do previous festival ambassadors say?
Sam Franklin, FBMH:
“I’ve been a festival volunteer for several years now and really enjoy being involved. As someone passionate about social responsibility and public engagement, it’s a joy to be part of showing the public what we do. It’s a full-on day but a really rewarding one, with one highlight being able to interact with the public, staff and students.”
How to get involved
