Support and guidance for colleagues and students
We are closely monitoring the situation in the Middle East and recognise that many in our community will be concerned or more directly impacted.
Our teams are contacting colleagues and students in the affected countries and will continue to support them.
If you have plans to travel to the region, please follow the latest government travel advice.
If you have booked through Key Travel, travel insurance information is available on StaffNet. You can also contact insurance@manchester.ac.uk if you need further help.
If you are affected, please do not try to cope alone. Support is available through our university support services including:
- Health Hero - free, confidential support, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
- Supporting your mental health
- Report & Support
- Multifaith Chaplaincy Team
- Staff Networks
Students can access support through the University and the Students’ Union, including 24/7 wellbeing services. Further details are on the Student Support website and the Students’ Union Advice Centre.
Please show respect and understanding for one another and encourage anyone who may need help to access support. We will continue to provide updates.
