We are ranked number 83 in a list of the UK’s Best Employers 2026, following a survey carried out by the Financial Times (FT).

We’re also the highest ranked employer in the city of Manchester.

Colleagues were asked to give their opinions on statements about their current employer in areas including working conditions, salary, potential for development and company or organisation image.

The results of the FT survey support us as we deliver our Manchester 2035 strategy. It’s important that colleagues feel valued and fulfilled here at Manchester: our people are crucial to our strategy's success, supporting every stage from ideation to delivery.

Executive Director of People, Ele Morrissey said: “We’re officially the best employer in the city of Manchester.  We are committed to being a place where colleagues thrive and feel valued for their contributions, where great ideas and careers flourish.

“To ensure this, we need to hear from you. Our Colleague Engagement Survey – which opens on Tuesday, 10 March – allows you to share what’s going well and what you feel isn’t working so we know what we need to do together to create the kind of supportive and empowering culture where we can all thrive and do our best work.”
