We’re now live with Canvas, due to the collaborative effort from many colleagues and students across the university. Thank you to everyone who has helped us achieve this huge milestone.

We now begin a new chapter in our university’s learning and Canvas provides a firm foundation to continue to improve the teaching, learning and student experience for everyone at Manchester.

What support is available for me?

We’ve developed an evolving suite of quick guides and easy access support to help you get started on the Canvas Help and Support page on our microsite.

Resources on this page are reviewed and refreshed regularly to support you, your teams and your students with what you need.

Don’t forget, you can access training and guidance through your local eLearning teams. Technical issues can be raised by completing a Connect form on the IT portal.

What training and support is available for students?

The Student Support pages contain helpful information, resources and links to technical support. The global Canvas Student guide is a self-help library to help students get started and overcome most issues they may face.

Local eLearning teams have created additional resources to support their students in their Faculties, providing online training and bespoke guides.

Blackboard switch-off in just over two weeks

We finally say goodbye to Blackboard on Friday 17 October. 

All teaching and learning activity will need to be completed by this date.

If you are anticipating an issue with this cut-off date for your course units should contact your local eLearning team immediately to discuss an alternative solution.
