Extra IT Support for new students during Welcome Week

Starting university can be exciting and a little overwhelming. To make things easier, we’re offering extra IT support across campus to help new students get connected and confident with key services like Wi-Fi, Duo 2-factor authentication, and more.

To help new students get set up, additional IT support will be available:

  • University Place (Ground Floor Drum): Pop-up IT support stand, Monday 22 to Friday 26 September
  • Kilburn Building (Ground Floor Foyer): Help with eduroam Wi-Fi and Duo 2-factor authentication, Monday 22 to Friday 26 September and Monday 29 to Friday 3 October

Students can also access:

  • Instruction leaflets at the Welcome Fair (22–23 Sept), student hubs, and IT Support Desks. These leaflets contain information about Wi-Fi, email, printing, DUO 2-factor Authentication, and Hornet.
  • A short video presentation introducing key IT services via the video portal - please feel free to include this in your local welcome activities.
