Introducing the AI Hub
09 Jun 2025
The new platform hosts guidance and information about the use of AI and emerging initiatives such as AI Pathfinder.

Created in response to the growing interest and adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) across the institution, the new AI Hub is a dedicated space providing staff with streamlined access to essential information relating to the University’s AI transformation initiatives, benefits, guidelines, and approved tools.
The Hub addresses the increasing complexity surrounding AI developments and the wealth of information available - equipping all staff with the resources needed to navigate the ever-evolving landscape of AI in a responsible and effective way.
To ensure the Hub remains relevant and valuable, new content will be added regularly to keep users informed about the latest advancements in AI. Planning is also underway to support the development of a vibrant AI community of practice, where members can share insights, collaborate on projects, and support each other's growth
Launch of AI Pathfinder
Coinciding with the launch of the AI Hub, the first call for expressions of interest for the new AI Pathfinder programme is now live. This initiative is designed to leverage AI in addressing real-world challenges faced by both staff and students.
The AI Pathfinder programme invites participants from across the institution to develop innovative, AI-based solutions that tackle these challenges. Participants will focus on creating working proofs-of-concept, which may lead to fully operational AI tools over time. The programme aims to advance the practical application of AI within the University.
Staff members are encouraged to submit their ideas by Friday, 18 July 2025.
Submissions are not required to be fully fleshed-out plans; instead, they should focus on presenting promising concepts that demonstrate creativity and feasibility.
