Pride Month takes place every year in June and is a celebration designed to recognise the influence of the LGBTQ+ community. There are a number of activities colleagues can be involved in.

An Evening with Matt Cain

To celebrate Pride Month 2024, the ALLOUT Network and EDI Directorate are proud to present an evening of conversation with author Matt Cain.

In January, Matt published his new novel 'One Love' which is partly set at the University of Manchester.

Rainbow ramble

Our free Rainbow Ramble will take place 12.15pm to 1.15pm on Thursday 25th June. You will take a tour around our North Campus and the LGBT+ significant spots.  Please message lgbt@manchester.ac.uk for more information. 

Become an LGBT+ Ally

Allies training will take place on Monday, 24 June

Pride around campus

Throughout the month you can get involved with Manchester Pride across campus.

Our University Shop in University Place is stocking our Pride range of badges, pens, jumpers and t-shirts.

You can show your Pride with our specially designed Manchester Pride MS Teams background. Email lgbt@manchester.ac.uk to receive a link to the background.
