Four short films explain how to navigate risk and compliance issues relating to reputation, the National Security Investment Act, Intellectual Property and Export Control

Trusted Research

Trusted Research is a UK campaign to raise awareness of the kinds of risks that academics can encounter during their research.

It provides information on important subjects such as personal data, research data, export controls, intellectual property and cyber security. This guidance will be developed over time as more relevant legislation and guidance is introduced.

Our Trusted Research page on StaffNet now features four short films showcasing this in terms of:

The films are aimed at ‘risk managers’ – if you are involved in research activities directly (as PIs, project managers, technicians) or indirectly (as research services staff or other PS staff), it is your responsibility to manage the risk. You are a risk manager of your activity.

We would ask all colleagues in our research community to watch them and use all the resources on our Trusted Research page, such as the Research Risk Profiler, to ensure they carry out their work safely and securely.
