‘Understanding Consent’ training module for students goes live

13 Oct 2021

New for 2021, the ‘Understanding Consent’ module has been created with the Advice and Response team to explore the complexities of consent when applied to people’s lives and relationships and where to go for advice and support

It’s vital that everyone in our University community has the opportunity to gain a healthy and positive understanding of consent. We want to empower both staff and students to better understand boundaries and respect those of others, as well as gain a better understanding about consent and healthy relationships in all, and every, form.

The module is being launched to students today, and we are asking all students to take part and complete the training.

While this module is primarily aimed at the student body, we would encourage staff to access this resource, ensuring that we are leading by example when it comes to Understanding Consent, support students who may have experienced unwanted behaviour during their studies, and appropriately offer guidance and support.

If you have any further questions about the module or how to promote it to students, you can contact the Advice and Response Team at adviceandresponse@manchester.ac.uk
