Examining tomorrow’s technologies for today’s research

The University GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) Club will hold its next meeting on Thursday, 2 May (2-3.15pm), in Roscoe 1.001.
On the agenda will be:
- Lessons learned from the GPU Technology Conference: Mark Mawson – School of MACE;
- Experiences with an ocean model on Intel Xeon Phi and Sandy Bridge: Andy Porter – Science, Technology and Facilities Council (Daresbury);
- Some preliminary HPC (High Performance Computing) Finance experience on Intel Xeon Phi: Ser-huang Poon – MBS.
